Security blanket
Jul. 21st, 2004 10:43 amI'm doing laundry. I just realized that the blanket in the washer right now is one I've had almost my entire life -- I think we got it when I was about 10, and got my first brand-new bed. I took it to college with me. When I practically lived with my boyfriend in college, it went with me to his place and kept us both warm. When I moved out on my own, it, of course, came along.
It's a twin-sized blanket, and we don't even own a twin-sized bed, but I keep it and from time to time it gets used for one thing or another. Most recently, my brother used it when he came to visit and slept on an air mattress. That's why it's getting washed today.
Do you have something that you keep, that keeps you? What is it?
