The number one drama of being a parent who is easily distracted is the fact that your kid knows this and does everything in her power to get you off-task as often as possible.
Yeah. I feel like my brain is incapable of long bursts of sustained thought any more after 6 1/2 years of continuous child care. It's why, when I have a whole morning to myself, it gets completely frittered away.
Oh, thank you! I thought it was just me. I've been so overscheduled this week that today is my first "me" time, and I can't even figure out what I want to do. It will be over soon, do something!!!!
I either have to commit to working on something (and not be distracted by something else) or I have to make a list the day before. Either way, I still make a plan the day before in order to do something "useful" with the time rather than fritter it away.
