I don't think it will disappear overnight, probably. I'd say in another day or two though you'll want to get thee over to ljbook.com and back up. I did before the server move, but haven't done so since.

I remember much of this panic last January when Sup bought LJ. It can probably be supported from Russia for a while, but this is definitely disturbing.

I think you can, it creates a .pdf from your LJ, so there shouldn't be any compatibility problems.
