I don't think it will disappear overnight, probably. I'd say in another day or two though you'll want to get thee over to ljbook.com and back up. I did before the server move, but haven't done so since.

I remember much of this panic last January when Sup bought LJ. It can probably be supported from Russia for a while, but this is definitely disturbing.

I think you can, it creates a .pdf from your LJ, so there shouldn't be any compatibility problems.

I have an account on either facebook or myspace, or possibly both, but darned if I know where to find them or what the passwords are. I suppose I'll waste some time today trying to figure that crap out again.

Myspace makes me ill. The people I have on facebook, for the most part do not overlap with the people on lj and I use them for different purposes. I don't like the interface on FB very much; I much prefer lj. And I also like the fake sense of anonymity I get here:)

I suppose I could have a separate unconnected FB account.... That seems like too much work:P
