Booted the Dell this morning and got a blue screen. My breath stopped, my eyes got big, my mouth fell open. It was totally cartoony. Something about an error in win32k ??? It told me to try restarting, so I did, and it worked, but it's got me thinking ... we need to back up our data in case of catastrophe. What's the best way to do this? We've got two other computers on a wireless network -- another Dell ( a laptop) and a Mac. There are compatibility issues with the mac, of course, and the laptop's harddrive isn't beg enough to hold all the data, I don't think (I'll be checking soon.) Are there great big external USB harddrives? Something like that would work. What else is out there?

Thanks, everyone. Hope your morning is going well.

Is a terabyte enough?

Or just buy a huge hard drive to stick in one of the computers, and share it for backup purposes.

LOL! A terabyte is probably more than we need. I like the toaster-looking thing, though. For now I've got a Seagate 40GB External Hard Drive with a USB connection.

Our computer is really hosed. Really really really. I don't even know if I can save all of the data.

If you're referring to the netgear sc101, don't get it. I had a bad experience with that one. Note that it doesn't include hard drives either, you have to supply your own.

I wondered why the price seemed so good. Okay, thanks, I won't get it.

It is cute, though.

Have you downloaded FireFox 1.5 yet?

You like it? Anything noticeably different?

Yes!

Er, I mean, no. It seems about the same. I guess I should read what is different so I know what to be enthused about.
