I thought this would be a good day to have my baby. I even thought I was having some good contractions this morning. But that was 4 hours ago. Right now, there's nothing going on. Eric's playing hooky and we're cleaning the house to get ready for his parents' arrival on Sunday.

I was born on Friday the 13th, so obviously I agree.

If you want to push the issue, I'm told that sex (particularly the orgasmic contractions, and the prostaglandin in the semen) can help induce labor. Tell Eric to get busy. :)

Hrm. Saturday, the 14th now. Still waiting. :/

We've been trying the sex thing. Great fun, few if any results. At least we're having fun, though. ;-)

Eric's content to let me be the writer, he doesn't keep a journal. I did let him know that you were asking, though -- thought I might encourage him in that direction. No dice. Maybe once he's got all kinds of great dad stories to tell....

I was at least ten days overdue and getting desperate. I had heard nipple stimulation could bring on contractions, so I gave it the old college try. My husband walked by, did a double take at me and my enormous belly and exposed bits, and said (as he always does whenever he sees me doing something weird), "You realize there are people who would pay good money to see that on the Internet."
