Update

Of sorts. I haven't posted this in a while, so here it is:
 

I'm feeling pretty well. No signs of labor yet. No "nesting" at the moment, though I'd sure like that! Been lazy today, sleeping a lot; really the opposite of nesting, or so I hear.

We had the baby-care class yesterday, which covered topics like bathing and diapering, and revealed the mystery of swaddling. Turns out there's no mystery to it, it's just a snug blanket. Yet I've seen people do it so wrong, I wonder how I'll screw it up when the time comes. We also talked about the umbilical stump. I'm quite intimidated by that thing. Hope I can handle it.

I've written up the birth plan, and we've started to pack the bag for the hospital. We're getting there. My appetite isn't very good today, which I at first hoped was a sign of early labor, but I think it's just a sign of hot weather. Anyone want to place their bets on when this baby will arrive? That is one mighty delighted-looking baby, isn't it?

We'll see how close I am. Looks like the consensus is I'm going past my due date. As Eric said last night, though, "it's not a democratic process." :)
