I'm soooo much better now after a consistent week of iron supplements. I feel almost normal, except I can't walk up hills as vigorously as I did before I was pregnant. But, I have more energy and less nausea than I had for a long time. No more gasping for breath when climbing the stairs! My discomforts are minor so far (no sciatica!) I'm trying to keep exercising and eating fairly well (could be doing better, but could be doing worse, too) and sleeping as much as my body will allow (which, it turns out, is a lot.) Hooray for not being employed these days!

Warm weather is on the way, so I expect to feel much more uncomfortable soon, or at least not be sleeping very well. Too bad you can't really hoard sleep for the future. Not that I'm not trying. :-)

More later this week.

Three cheers for iron! And sleep. Yes, why can't we hoard it? A sleep bank, that's what I need.

So pleased you're feeling better. This weekend I did a trial run of str%!berry shortcake with chocolate sauce. The baking powder biscuits ended up dwarf-sized. Cook, not recipe, error, I fear. Next week I'll ready to hit the u-picks at Sauvie Island and make a raspberry chocolate tart, and some raspberry brownies, and...well, that's about it. Maybe blueberries will be ready...Wahoo!

Thirty-two weeks. Can't believe it!

Mmm...u-pick berries!

Shall we try again to get together next week? I doubt I'm up for much berry-picking, but a trip downtown for a sweet sounds nice. Wednesday or Thursday look good....

I'm going to try meeting with Zoe on Tuesday downtown--wanna join us? Wednesday I may be headed up to the San Juans, but details are sketchy. Will keep you posted.

Urgh, it's too hot to u-pick. Nah, I'm just a heat wimp.
