Baby/Pregnancy Update
Jun. 9th, 2004 09:03 pmIt's been a rough week, filled with nausea and exhaustion. I'm finally back on the iron pills after about a week off of them due to stomach problems. I'm hoping to feel more energy as the iron kicks in, and I'm hoping my guts hold up to the pills, as they can be rough sometimes. The most aggravating part is not knowing exactly what is making me feel so bad.
Birthing classes start tomorrow night. Should be interesting. Then Saturday I take another class, I forget which one. Sunday I'm hoping to attend a prenatal yoga class. Next Thursday I have a check-up, which will include another blood test for my iron levels. The following Saturday some friends are having a shower for me/us. So, there's a lot coming up, again I hope that the exhaustion becomes a thing of the past very soon or I'm going to have trouble functioning. Also, I got a stern but vague warning from the nurse that my iron must be better next time or all kinds of complicated things will happen. Yay.

And P.S. My husband walked by as I was reading your entry and saw the little Lilypie ticker at the top. He glanced at your "59 days left to go" and said "You're winning!" Yes dear, it's not a race...

Date: 2004-06-10 08:17 am (UTC)Well... I think... it might be... the baby? ;-) Just a guess.
I know what you mean, though. When it's an effort just to move and you feel under the weather all the time, it's hard to pinpoint exactly how you could help the situation. I had to take the iron too--yuck. I kept hoping it would boost my energy level, but no suck luck.
Hang in there. You don't have much farther to go, and everyone does get through it somehow. :-)
