Happy Indy 500 day. For those of you who don't watch it, I'll tell you it was twice delayed by rain for many hours. Pre-race coverage started at 8am local time. My brother, race fan that he is, would not turn off the television during the delay. After the race ended, he switched to NASCAR, which is still going. Which means our TV has been on nearly 10 and a half hours. I didn't even know TVs could be on that long. Don't they have some sort of power feature that makes them turn off?

My mother is proof that TVs do not have automatic turn off switches, especially when it comes to car racing. They have their TV going first thing in the morning until they go to bed at night. No joke.

Auto racing and boxing--two things I have not only zero interest in but also no desire to understand. You're a kind sister to let your sib have control of the tv...

aaaaiiiieeee is an appropriate mood, especially for this circumstance.
