Hurricane Irene

We here on the West Coast are under the impression that you there on the East Coast are facing The End of The World. And none of you are posting on LJ about evacuation or hoarding food or anything, so I'm wondering who is misinformed? I hope it's me, and I hope you all stay safe and relatively dry this weekend.

We're in Florida and missed everything. I haven't gotten any first-hand reports up the coast, but I'm still nervous for my homeys in NYS.

My cousin in Arizona opined that everything was overblown about Irene. Maybe, but then, it would seem overblown 2500 miles away, probably.

I'm sure you'll get a chance for a storm soon! Hurricane season lasts 3 more months!!

The Irene story unfolded a bit odd, didn't it? Who knew that upstate New York and Vermont were going to be affected so severely?
