Book recommendations wanted

 Darling Daughter keeps bringing home school library books way above her reading level and having to return them within 4 days.  This week she brought home one of the Warriors series which we haven't even had a chance to crack open.  An anyone recommend similar books that are more at a first grade reading level?  She's already read the Catwings series by Ursula LeGuin (a couple times, she loves them).

Hmmm, sounds like she enjoys animal fantasy type stories.

The Unicorn's Secret: Moonsilver by Kathleen Duey with 3 more books following it.

I'll have to keep thinking on animal ones. Other series she might enjoy:

Ivy and Bean series by Annie Barrows

The Clementine series by Sara Pennypacker

Thanks Lisa! She loves animals, I'm still trying to get a read on how much she does or doesn't like the fantasy stuff. Aside from the fact that Catwings can fly, it's mostly an adventure story. She's fascinated by unicorns, though, so we'll definitely have to check out The Unicorn's Secret. I'll look up those others, too!
