but he's not here yet. 

I need a sit-down with a friend.  I need for today to be over, even though it never actually started.  I need a vacation, or maybe I need a job. This housewife shit sucks the chrome rocket.  I need a spa day, a day to sit and read, a few hours to sit and write, a few hours to chat with other adults with no kids around.  

I just want to curl up and cry and take a nap right now.  

Thank God there's still a tomorrow to look forward to.  Please, God, don't cancel tomorrow.

Thank you! He showed up, the range is installed, there are a couple of minor glitches but they should be easy to deal with (and I'm not going to bother until Friday, because I need some down time now), so now it's time to just get it warmed up and read the instructions and look forward to TV and a bottle of tequila this evening. Well, TV anyway.

The sun! The sun! Oh I need the sun! They say this weekend. I'm ready!!

I know it's absurd to ask, but I just really want some days when I have 5 hours to work, uninterrupted, with no meetings or appointments, no long drives, no one else's schedule to accommodate. But that kind of thing doesn't happen, so I need to get over it. Today I could have had a couple of hours, at least, if I hadn't been incapacitated by a fight with my 5 year old this morning. It threw me, bigtime.
