Dear LJ Friends (you know who you are)
Jun. 22nd, 2009 10:24 pmIt is probably somewhat inappropriate for me to do this, but I am asking all of you to please post a little note in the next day or two. Because about half of you, maybe more, haven't posted anything in the past week and/or next-to-nothing in the past month. And I miss you. You don't have to say much, just hello and maybe a description of the weather where you are. (I'm weather-involved) and maybe what book you've enjoyed lately.
I doubt you're wondering why it's inappropriate for me to ask this, but in case you are, I'll point out the obvious:
1) I almost never post
2) I almost never comment
But I am here, and I am reading, and I am hoping you are well.
For those who are posting, I apologize for my lack of commenting. Things are well with us, but a bit overwhelming at the moment. I expect to be available to make some real posts and some real comments beginning in about 2 weeks.
The weather here is cool, though we're expecting warming. We will be in Ohio for a wedding over the weekend, wherewhen it should be 90 and humid. So I am about to get more warm than I can probably handle.
I've just been enjoying more Terry Pratchett Discworld books, although not as much as I wanted to enjoy them, so I'm now looking for something new to read. Next up may be "Gods Behaving Badly." Or maybe something else.

Date: 2009-06-23 02:22 pm (UTC)Believe me, you're not one of the ones I'm thinking of. :-) But I always love hearing from you. What's your typing speed anyway? You must have my 37 wpm beat by at least double.

Date: 2009-06-23 05:38 pm (UTC)I just took this one,
http://www.typeonline.co.uk/typingspeed.php
it said 52 wpm with 3 mistakes. Not counting the five I corrected while taking the test. So I guess I'm doing better than I thought, but I still feel like a fumblefingers most of the time.
