Three hours of doing taxes this morning and that was pretty much it for the day. I took Maggie to the park, praise the gods for a rainless day for once, but she's full of pep and I just want to collapse.
I was going to echo my sister's comment. Also, I know this can be really hard to remember in the moment, but self-care is good modeling for Maggie. I wish my mom had been better at it when we were kids. Instead, she would just suddenly disappear for what appeared to be no apparent reason. I understand it now, but there was never any warning when were kids.
Interesting that you say that. I actually told Maggie several times that I wasn't feeling well, but it took her about two hours to actually hear it and respond in a way that I consider appropriate (not that I expect a sophisticated response from a 4-year old very often.)
Therapy finally starts next week. Man, I'm looking forward to it. I've got a lot on my mind and a few gripes I'd just like to whine about a bit. I just hope this woman is competent. Some in the past have not been.
We hit the park this morning and the duck pond this afternoon. I had to take advantage of the dry day...and run them ragged. Of course it means I am exhausted too.
