And so begins the twelve weeks of Spring

I walked outside at noon today and about froze to death.  It's not that the air was cold, it was just that, due to my having spent many formative years in California and Florida, I expect March midday temperatures to exceed 42 degrees.  Preferably to exceed 59 degrees.  And I realized, oh yes, here it is, the time of year I can't get warm, the same time of year I always end up cranking the thermostat to an obscene 72 degrees, the time of year I fantasize about running away to Greece,  or at least San Diego.  

And this lasts until June.  After 14 years in Oregon, I think I know the pattern.  I am not proud, but I have to be honest.

For the life of me I will never understand how 42 degrees in March can be SO MUCH colder than 32 degrees in December.

I'm counting the winters I spent in college + the time I've lived in Seattle (15 years here) :D.

You know my partner is almost 10 years older than me. And I am the one who asked HER out :D. I have a thing for older women ;-).

I didn't know that about your partner. My husband is six years younger than me -- I've generally gone for younger men. With women I'm drawn more to types than to ages. And the types have definitely changed over the years!

"Cool" and "hot" are not terms I'm used to being called. So thank you. *blushes some more*

Now I'm curious about your types! The one guy I dated was a year younger than I; every woman (all 2) I dated was older than me. Although my sample set is incredibly small, so I don't think one can draw many, if any, conclusions.
