R.I.P. Kim Manners

dampscribblerTelevision director Kim Manners (X-Files, Supernatural) has died. I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure I met Kim when I visited the X-Files set (the episode involved a scene in an airplane, though that's not what I saw shot). I do know that he was a very talented and well-respected director, and at 58 he died too young.
Edit: I previously reported erroneously that Manners was Canadian. This is because (1) most seasons of the X-Files were shot in Vancouver, Canada, and (2) the link provided above is to a Canadian website, and (3) I wasn't thinking straight. I doubted myself this morning and found I was, indeed, mistaken. More info about Manners can be found here and here, if you're interested.
