FridayFive!
Dec. 8th, 2006 12:29 pmI don't think I've ever done this before, but I hardly ever post anymore, and
lucyshoe did it, so I'm gonna copycat, just so I can say something today.
1. What was the best thing that happened to you this year?
The new health club finally opened, I had enough sense to know that I had no idea what to do there, so I hired a personal trainer. Getting educated about how to work out and then making a habit of it has improved my life hugely.
2. What was the worst thing that happened to you this year?
Honestly, nothing really comes to mind. It's been a good year and we've been grateful for it. I suppose the worst thing about this year is merely that I still haven't started writing again yet. Maybe the most stressful thing to happen this year was selling the house we'd moved out of, especially when the first offer fell through -- I was a little crazy, then.
3. What was your best acheivement/are you most proud of this year?
Knowing that I needed help settling into the new house after we moved, I hired help for a couple of weeks. I think finally reaching a point in life where I know that I can't do it all and I find help doing it is a huge breakthough for me, and in a way I guess I'm proud of that.
4. Any regrets? (Anyone who answers this with "A few, but too few to mention" gets 5 points deducted)
Not being more social with my friends, thus letting friendships deteriorate. Not working harder to set goals and actually work toward achieving them. Making a mess of both my office and my husband's and not getting them cleaned up (yet.)
5. Any goals for 2007?
Oh, the usual -- get rich, get famous, get beautiful, take over the world. All while sitting on my ass in front of the computer.
Actually, I do have some goals, and I hope it's not bad luck to mention them. I plan to train to become a prenatal/postnatal yoga instructor, and to start teaching. My first student is a friend of mine having a baby this month, who has an education background, is familiar with yoga, and is willing to let me learn while teaching her. I'm delighted and excited. I'll be taking some professional training in February or April, then I hope to take on some more students.
I'm also hoping to either start working or volunteering outside the home, as I need to get out more. I'm sure other goals and plans will develop along the way.
Oh, and I'd like to create some new userpics for my LJ.
