Because I refuse to complain further, and because I fear that if I start writing something it will turn into a whine, and because someone on my flist just posted this, I will play this game:

1. Grab the book nearest you, turn to page 18 and find line 4.

'Employment agencies seem very attractive when one is "up against it." '  (From "The 1990 What Color is Your Parachute?")

2. Stretch out your left arm as far as you can. What can you touch?

My monitor

3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?

Pingu, this morning

4. Without looking, guess what time it is.

9:48 am

5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?

9:50 am

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?

Traffic in the distance?

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?

About half an hour ago, I was coming back home after dropping of the baby at daycare.

8. Before you started this survey, what did you look at?

My Friends List

9. What are you wearing?

Jeans and a sweatshirt.  Yes, on July 6th.  It's 60 degrees outside.

10. Did you dream last night?

Yes

11. When did you last laugh?

This morning when Maggie climbed into bed and tried to nurse with a pacifier in her mouth, then started giggling.

12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?

Green paint.  Light from the lamp.

13. Seen anything weird lately?

I guess I'm not paying attention

14. What do you think of this quiz?

I think it reveals how boring (and bored) I am.

15. What is the last film you saw?

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, if you count Pay Per View as film.  Otherwise, I'd have to say the film left behind by a slug on the sidewalk this morning.

16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?

I hate this question. The answer changes daily, if not hourly.  So, maybe I should answer "whatever the heck I want."

I got bored and deleted the rest of the quiz.

There's so much I've been wanting to say.  So much has been happening.  We love the new house, have been here a month today, and are settling in reasonably well.  We've got guests coming in 5 weeks, and the guest bed arrives tomorrow, so I'm trying to shuffle boxes around the guestroom to make way for the bed, and to figure out what is in the boxes that will need homes soon.

Last week I unpacked most of the boxes in my office, most of which contained books.  It was interesting to observe my reactions as I pulled things out.  Some books provided a little excitement, 'oh, yeah, that!  cool!'  Others provoked no reaction at all.  A few, and not a small few, caused me to feel aggravation, annoyance, or frustration. 'why is this still here?'  'lord, i've never found a good place for this, i should get rid of it.'  I'm pleased to report that I will be getting rid of those kinds of things, and I'm looking forward to doing so.

Okay, that's a start.  So much more to tell, but I need a nap now to fight off this sinus infection.
