A few words about the move

dampscribblerThere's so much I've been wanting to say. So much has been happening. We love the new house, have been here a month today, and are settling in reasonably well. We've got guests coming in 5 weeks, and the guest bed arrives tomorrow, so I'm trying to shuffle boxes around the guestroom to make way for the bed, and to figure out what is in the boxes that will need homes soon.
Last week I unpacked most of the boxes in my office, most of which contained books. It was interesting to observe my reactions as I pulled things out. Some books provided a little excitement, 'oh, yeah, that! cool!' Others provoked no reaction at all. A few, and not a small few, caused me to feel aggravation, annoyance, or frustration. 'why is this still here?' 'lord, i've never found a good place for this, i should get rid of it.' I'm pleased to report that I will be getting rid of those kinds of things, and I'm looking forward to doing so.
Okay, that's a start. So much more to tell, but I need a nap now to fight off this sinus infection.
