dampscribblerMotherhood gets in the way of focus. I am a person who needs some time and space to focus intensely on a project in order to get it done well. Mothering is about constant interruption, or very limited spans of time in which to get things done. I really, really miss having opportunities to focus intensely on a project, to allow myself time to craft some writing about a subject that is important to me without wondering if I'll be forced to abandon it before it's done.
There's a lot to say on this subject. I hope to be revisiting it over time.
