Big, snowy storm(s) coming this weekend!  Just days before Maggie's snowboots are due to arrive!  Joy to the world!

I am really really really hoping it doesn't snow.

I'd like to wait until January. I don't mind some snow, but the timing sucks right now, in lots of ways and not just for me.

:'(

I don't mind snow if I'm skiing. Otherwise, I don't care for it. Seattle is really perfect for avoiding it!

I like a little bit of snow, but not much, and not the ice that we get that means we're stuck inside for a few days. I grew up in the midwest, and we rarely got stuck inside due to weather. Here it seems to happen 80% of the time that it snows. Weird.

I love how the whole city shuts down when it snows. It's like people revert to a state where they forget how to function or something. It's hilarious!

I hate ice.

I'm going offline in 2 minutes. Have a good night!

They are forecasting snow here too and I'm hoping that it is really just rain and that it doesn't freeze. I hate driving in iffy conditions around here and lord knows I really need to dance tomorrow night. I'd better have children who can go to school tomorrow or I might just spend the whole day crying.

Oh, I've been there. I hope it all works out for you, those snow days/sick days are tough on a mother.

Thanks! I'm sure I'll be whining away if they are both home tomorrow.

I expect I'll be out stocking up on food tomorrow! I'll check in for your whining at some point, though. :)

Excellent! I'm hopeful that they will both be fine and I can ship them off with a good conscience.

Yep. Pinkeye medicine is great stuff -- a dose or two and you're back in business. Wishing you the best Friday possible!

And brrrr!

The really annoying part about the boots is that, in addition to being inexplicably delayed (they were supposed to arrive Friday and they haven't left the warehouse), we live in an area where boots are needed only 5-15 days per year, which loosely translates to each use costing us a dollar, possibly much more. I'm not good at checking the resale shops for slightly used ones, I need to get better at that apparently.
