Did you get your tree from a reputable source? Govt entities spray their trees with a chem that stinks when it warms, to prevent tree poaching.

We cut it ourselves from a tree farm that claims to have been around for several decades, complete with little old lady and Lionel Train village, so I think that's not it. Interesting info, though, thanks. I really do think there is (was) too much water in the tree stand, I filled it pretty high last night, and the smell was much like when you've had live flowers in the vase too long. It seems to have receded some, or I've gotten used to it. I'll be careful, we'd like to keep it in the house for, what, two more weeks? At least.

How are you and the family doing? Haven't been hearing from y'all lately.
