I don't know what's up with #2, as I have no tolerance whatsoever for humidity, but according to FindYourSpot.com, here are my best places to live:

1. Portland, OR (maybe I'm doing something right?)
2. Baton Rouge, LA (????)
3. Honolulu, HI (well, if you insist...)
4. Los Angeles, CA (been there, loved that)
5. Las Vegas, NV (maybe too desert-y. And too tourist-y.)
6. San Diego, CA (can do)
7. Orange County, CA (too Republican)
8. Little Rock, AR (????)
9. Long Beach, CA (a lot like Los Angeles, without actually being Los Angeles)
10. Eugene, OR (I've been there, it seemed okay, if a little small.)

Chicago came in at #15, probably because of the snow and cost of living, but I think under many circumstances I'd be happier there than in Eugene. Obviously, the quiz isn't perfect. Also, be aware if you decide to start that you don't get your cities until you give them some personal info (which can be faked, BTW.)

Hey you are living in the exact right place I guess! I wonder what I'd come up with if I told it to search for big cities for me. I didn't though, because I knew Portland was the city for me!

I felt like the questions were skewed toward Portland, but I decided that was just my perception.

Gak!

I think Eugene is one of those cool small cities / large towns -- I think I could live there. But then, I haven't lived in Portland proper for 10+ years and in my 20+ years in the area, have actually lived in Portland very little ;-)

I've been in the area for 12 years now, amazingly. When we first moved here I felt like Portland was a "small town" in many (many) ways, but between the growth around here and a decade of getting used to it, I'm not sure Los Angeles would be a comfortable place for me to live anymore. But I'm fairly certain Eugene would still feel too small. Nice to visit, though....

I love Portland!

I think Portland would be the ideal place to live. We have visited there only twice, but I fell in love with it the first time. We'll be visiting Portland in a couple weeks - first time in the fall.
