On hiatus

Today begins Discardia, the second of this calendar year.  I've been planning to purge a lot of stuff from the house this time around -- we're starting the weekend with a neighborhood garage sale, even -- but late late last night I realized something else that needs to be addressed ASAP. (And what better time than Discardia?)   And that is my online time.  So, for the duration of Discardia, I'm going off the Internet.  No more 55 tabs open in one browser, 27 open in another.  Discardia lasts 14 days this time around, through July 3.  My goal is to not open a browser for more than 15 minutes at a time, no more than twice a day.  And never more than two tabs open.  (I would say one, but who am I kidding?)  Around about July 5th (I've got the 4th double-booked already, apparently) I'll let you know how it went. 

I'm seriously going to miss you all.  But my brain is cluttered with online stuff, and I've got to declutter.  Happy fortnight, y'all.

Thanks. I'm gonna need it. Just about to shut down the browser, I still have only managed to get it down to 12 tabs open.... Ah, well, baby steps I guess.

Excellent! Good luck! If I don't reset my computer use once in awhile I start hollering about getting the service shutdown altogether, and that is not really the best choice (at least not yet).
