Thanks to everyone posting their support after my last couple of posts. I know I never responded to you, but I did see your messages and they meant a lot to me. Again, thanks.

Several weeks of illness led to depression, but I'm feeling better both physically and psychologically right now. We're all hoping for the end of sickness season so we can get on with our lives. Luckily, Eric and Maggie both seemed to escape the last nasty bug that I had.

Now we're looking for a larger home to live in because we're spoiled Americans who have too much shit and not enough places to store it. Also, we keep banging into each other in the kitchen, which is annoying. But we're having trouble figuring out our priorities for a new home. More square feet inside, or outside? A large house in a distant part of town, or a smaller (but still large) house closer to where we live now? Or maybe we should just suck it up and make the most of the house we're in? Tough decision, and at times stressful. I hope to post a bit about it as I have time, but frankly with a 20-month-old to chase around, and several weeks of paperwork and organizing to catch up on, I don't have a lot of time at the moment. I do still try to read my friends page daily, so I can keep up with you all a bit.

Cheers, all.

I completely missed your posts about not feeling well, or I'd have said something. It's been a rough month here too, but things seem to be coming out of the darkness again finally. That transition between winter-spring and spring-spring always seems hard to me. I'm glad it's happening the same for you too.

Larger kitchen and lots of yard. Those are my votes. Kitchen bumping is the worst. You must have space to move! Or you can just kick Eric out of the kitchen entirely. Or yourself.

Glad you're feeling better!

Thanks, Liana! Spring is a rough time of year, which doesn't make sense (shouldn't it be better than winter?) but there ya go.

We bought another house, bigger kitchen bigger yard. More news on that after our inspection, which should be mid-week.

Wow! Just like that.

Congrats on the new house, and I'm glad you're feeling better.

If only the sun would stay out for more than 15 minutes at a time.

Thanks!

It wasn't as simple as it sounds. I started looking back in November, tried to quit in February (it lasted five days, almost), have been looking vigorously for the past 3 weeks, and was about to quit again when we found this one. It had only been listed three days and ours was one of two offers. Despite all the efforts we're in a bit of shock to be "suddenly" buying a new house.

I'm wishing for more sun, too. And warmer temperatures. Easter was way too brr.
