2006 - Year of the Luddite?

Things are still very bad in computer land, around here. Our backup drive is now refusing to yield data to us. Despite knowing the nature of the beast, I still feel so very betrayed. I trusted this computer to keep everything safe. I trusted the backup drive to keep my important data and photos. Now it may all be gone.

Same happened when I backed up our first huge bunch of pictures of Aidan onto a CD-ROM. After accidentally deleting the pics on our hard drive when upgrading, the CD would not read. :( And that kind of loss fucking sucks.

So I hope it'll work out better for you.

Thanks, Christian. I think I remember when that happened. I've been meaning to print our photos out ever since then, but of course I haven't.
