Wondering

Why is it that I have some rather nice clothes, but I choose instead to wear the frumpy clothes?

If you're like me, it's because you don't want to "waste" the nicer ones on everyday wear, when they might get stained or something. I have to force myself to wear good clothes. It makes a big difference in my mood and productivity, though.

Oh, yeah, I think that's exactly it. Silly, isn't it? I'm considering forcing the issue by getting rid of most of the clothes I usually wear.

I owe you an email. Sorry about that.

Is it your turn? Heh. I'd lost track. No need to apologize--I haven't been a good correspondent lately.

I keep making private vows to only wear clothes that I really love, but it's so hard to get rid of the old "just in case" clothes...that I then end up wearing every day. :~/

Eric and I have been sick the last two weekends, which makes the weeks busier than ever. I'm hoping to get some time soon to get together with you. If you're not too busy. :-)

Yes, let's do that! Maybe we can get coffee this weekend or something.

In my experience, "nice" clothes are often uncomfortable and/or impractical (i.e. no pockets) and I'm all about the comfortable and the pockets.

Yeah, the pocket thing is definitely an issue. But I've got some "nice" tops that are comfy and (generally) practical, but I wear the same old floppy things I'm sick of. Entrenched in habit is half the problem, I think.
