A belated thanks to everyone who commented on Maggie's pictures last week, I really do read and appreciate your comments, and I really did plan to reply to them individually, but Maggie's hit a couple of new milestones and I'm having trouble keeping up.

For a couple of weeks, now, she has been rolling around, which doesn't sound like much but increases her mobility about a thousandfold. Then about a week ago she started pulling herself up (well, trying to, anyway) on whatever she can reach. And she's not content to wait until she's near a stable, safe structure -- she wants to try to pull herself up on absoluletly anything and everything. Even if she's in my arms, she wants to grab the doorframe as we walk through and pull. And she complains a lot until I give her the opportunity to use those new arm muscles she's discovered. Which means I really can't put her down to play while I do laundry or whatever, because she's no longer content to shake her bells and bang her blocks, now she just wants to try to move. All well and good, except the house is a mess -- dangerously cluttered and, IMO, grossly dirty. We've been putting off scrubbing the carpet because we really just want to replace it, but we need to do one or the other very soon. And I'm stealing a few moments from de-cluttering just to post this boastful little complaint.

Miracles require elbow grease. Back to work.
