A nice, short one.

A book I own that no one on my flist has: Five Women I Love by Bob Hope
A cd I own that no one on my flist has: Goodnight Irene by Lead Belly
A movie I own that no one on my flist has: Kiki's Delivery Service in Japanese
A place I've been that no one on my flist has: DeSmet, South Dakota

Sorry but no about the movie. Then again, I don't own it, I just haven't given it back.

Give it back, you thief!

Does it count if you really want to go to DeSmet and see the Ingalls place, but haven't yet?

Doesn't count 'cuz I've done it and you haven't nyah nyah! :-P

If you go, pack a lunch, because there's no good food in DeSmet.

Especially if it's a 21-year winter and snow's over the top of the house! :) Sometime I should check up on that cycle and see if it really was true that it came every 21 years.

If it did, it doesn't anymore.

I remember hearing back around 1980 that El Nino used to come in 7-year cycles; I sorta assumed that had something to do with The Big Winter, but I've never confirmed anything.

Nice to know a fellow Laura Ingalls geek! :-)

Yeah...I still get the books out of the library every couple of years and read them...my set fell apart a long time ago. And I've read up on some of the books about the Ingalls, not a lot but what I could find. I tried reading "Little House in the Big Woods" to my son, but we never got past the part about the dead deer hanging in the tree. :( I'll try again in a couple of years, and maybe we'll skip that part.

Ah, but I've been to DeSmet. ;-) And you know me... (though I'm probably not on your list)
