A happy birthday, indeed

You know you're grown up -- even grown old, maybe -- when what your spouse gives you for your birthday is a day of childcare and housecleaning and you're tickled pink. Gone are the days when I would have considered such a thing "a real gyp." This has been great. And now I (sorta) even have time to blog!

Time, yes, but not really the energy. Yesterday was a bad day for baby and me both. Today is much better, but I'm tired. I got my teeth cleaned, got my driver's license renewed, and went to the grocery store. If I had managed to pick up Maggie's birth certificate, the day would have been a complete success. As it is, I'm not complaining. Just taking a few minutes to relax before she wakes from her nap.

Yeah, I was the only commenter. What was up with that?

I like you considerably. Does that count?

Okay.

Happy now. :-)
