Is there a doctor in the house?

I ache. Knees, hips, wrists, forearms, elbows, all feel like severe tendonitis. I can't even carry my baby down the stairs because my knees ache so bad. Thank goodness for the baby monitor.

C'mon Motrin, do your thing.

What the hell is wrong with me now, anyway?

That doesn't sound good. Have you been to a doc? I've had achyness come on when I'm getting the flu, but not so severe that it prevented me from negotiating steps.

:( Get some doctoring, you.

It's always a Friday when something mysterious kicks in. If this lasts through the weekend, I'll definitely call the doctor. In the meantime, it's 24-36 hours of Motrin, then off it to see how I'm really doing. The Motrin is definitely helping.

Well, glad for that then.

Hey, do you use any instant messaging software?

I've used ICQ in the past, but not in a long time. Never installed it on our new computer.

No IM, no email... what is a person to do with you?

[shuffles outside to the carrier pigeons]

(hope you're continuing to improve)

Actually, I have 5 email accounts. I just don't have a lot of time to check them. :-) I'll send you an address.

I wonder if it's your joints getting back to normal after their pregnancy flexibility? Sounds painful. I hope you feel better soon. I've been thinking about you guys and wondering how you were doing.

I hadn't thought of that, I suppose it's possible. I've never heard of anyone else going through quite this kind of thing, though. I'm planning to take things very easy this weekend, I'm hoping a combination of rest and gentle yoga will work this out.

In general, we've been doing pretty well. My parents were here this week helping out, which has been nice, although loaded, the way any parental visit is. They're visiting my brother in Canada now, the'll be back for a few more days next week, so navigating to the doctor's office if necessary will not be too tough.

Eric is back at work now, though he's coming home at lunch every day to see his baby. Maggie is well, working at getting used to being her own person with her own complicated digestive system. She can fart like I never imagined. :) We're crazy about her, farts and all.

Heh. It's amazing that such sounds can come out of such a small body, isn't it? The farting does die down after a while. At least we hope, for Maggie's sake, that it doesn't last until she's a teenager. ;-)
