Oops. Done.

I forgot that Eric said it was still huge.

Is that better, or still too big?

[identity profile] convainquez.livejournal.com 2004-08-09 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
that's much better

Great pic. That looks like a dandy linen top. Is it? Hope you stay cool today!

Well, you can tell it's linen by all the wrinkles, but it is pretty comfy! It's also one of the few things left I still fit into.

half of you anyway. :)

I think that's the first picture I've ever seen of you. You've got a great smile.

Thank you! :) I don't really like having my picture taken, so it's lovely to be complimented when I finally do!

Eric and I were discussing you at lunch today, actually. We need some decent but not-terribly-costly photo editing software. Do you have any recommendations? What do you like to use, and why? [Thanks in advance!]

Eric and I were discussing you at lunch today, actually.

In good terms, I hope?

For software, I recommend Paint Shop Pro. That's what I use. It has lots of good quality tools, and the interface is very customizable. It also comes with a bunch of straight forward tutorials (some animated) that made it quite easy to learn the more complex features. I've been using 8, and I absolutely love it. A side bonus is that you can use most of the aftermarket plugins and filters made for Adobe Photoshop, like Kai's Power Tools, etc. It's about $100 (compare that to Photoshop, $575).

Ooh... version 9 is coming out. Go download yourself a free beta:

Yes, in good terms! We really like your photography, and Eric sometimes asks me questions about what kind of camera and software and such that you use. I rarely have an answer for him, but I point him in the direction of your LJ and website sometimes.

Thanks for the recommendation. I actually found a copy of Paint Shop 7 on the computer yesterday. I have no idea where it came from, but it looks like I have 30 days to evaluate it. Then I'll download that 9 beta you directed me to. Free stuff!
