No worse

The pain in my jaw is spreading -- it's moved up into my cheekbone -- but it's not any worse.

No signs of labor, yet. Sigh. If I have the baby between Monday and Thursday, I can donate the cord blood to the Red Cross for use in medical treatments and/or research. More info here:

Happy August! The one month with no national holidays. Back-to-school time. Dog days of summer. The beginning of harvest time. Lammas, celebrating the harvesting of grain begins tonight. (Link courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] kebbo.) What else does August mean to you?

are you having muscle spasms in your jaw? are you clinching without realizing it? i was having some trouble with my jaw muscles tightening and causing terrible headaches a few months ago. taking muscle relaxers helped more than anything. maybe some massage for you?

Mmm, massage is a good idea regardless of the reason. I keep meaning to schedule one, but never quite getting to it.

I'm pretty sure that the jaw pain is a sinus thing. I have a swollen gland on that side, it's allergy season, and it hurts most when I blow my nose. I was afraid I was getting a cold, but this is the third day and I'm feeling no worse, so I think I'll be okay.

I'll watch for more signs that I might be clenching my jaw, though. It's certainly a possibility.
