if you have a microwave, you can have hot water for tea. if you do not have a microwave, the only path to sanity under such conditions is to go get one immediately so that you can have hot water for tea. some things are non-negotiable. with tea, you will be able to face even the stove in the tv room. without tea -- but that's too horrible to contemplate. I'm going to go make myself some tea right now, as a ritual on your behalf.
