Desert island
You know that question: "If you were stuck on a desert island, what five books would you want to have with you?"
Tonight my answer is "five blank books, and a lot of pens." I think I know everything (or nearly everything) I need to know to write the books I want to read. The question now is, at what point will I start taking myself seriously enough to write one?

And then more words. I've been told that's how it works, but I can't provide firsthand evidence of that.
I'm going to start "morning pages" again. Because after I've written some gibberish, I'm already there with a pen and paper so what's so hard about writing a chapter? Or, maybe a short story, or perhaps flash fiction. Maybe haiku. Or one really solid adjective.

I used to really like my morning pages, but man mornings are brutal right now, no room to add anything else. Maybe in summer.
