Library lovin' challenge
Mar. 26th, 2009 08:22 pmHey, friends!
Please do me, and public libraries, and children in Africa a favor, please, and go comment over at
kellyrfineman 's Library Lovin' Post. Kelly will donate 25 cents for each commenter to her local library system *and* 25 cents to Books for Africa, up to $100 each.
For every commenter Kelly gets, I'll donate 10 cents to Multnomah County Libraries, 10 cents to Washington County Libraries, and 10 cents to Books for Africa. So please, go post a comment over there, and consider making a match of your own if it's within your means. Leave a comment here and I'll add another 25 cents to Books for Africa!
Want to help more without spending a penny of your own money? Check out the list of pledging bloggers here.
PS - I promise not to make a habit of posting with oversized fonts, because, yeah, a little annoying. But at least it's not blinking.

Date: 2009-03-27 03:55 am (UTC)Libraries mean so much to me, and I've never forgotten Doris Lessing's Nobel essay about the preciousness of a book in Africa, so Books for Africa called out to me as soon as you mentioned it. I'm tickled to make the matches.
