Aargh. Ack.

If there's such a thing as a (relatively) painless migraine, that's what I have.  I feel a mild pressure all over the top of my head.  I can't open my eyes all the way, although I'm not light-averse like I have been with some other migraines.  I'm mildly nauseated.  I can't figure out if I'm supposed to just work through this or lay down and rest.  I need to go get Maggie's kindergarten registration papers, so I'll do that in a couple of minutes and then come home and decide what to do.

ETA: I felt cold most of the day, too, especially in my face, hands, and feet.  Go figure.

I've never tried to work through any sort of migraine related experience. I once had vertigo so badly that if I was upright, I was gagging/throwing up. Thankfully that only lasted a few hours, but dh had to stay home because I couldn't get out bed. The really sad part was that I couldn't even read:(

It always seems like the best thing for me to do is lie down and be in the dark (as much as possible). Luckily for me, I don't get the headache part. Or if I have, it was only once.

I just took a Tylenol and am going to lie down. (Lay down? Whatever.) This sucks.

Usually I get a fairly severe visual disturbance (aura) followed by feeling bad for a while (I can't say exactly how, it's only happened once or twice in the past 6 years). I woke up with this, so if there was a visual disturbance I didn't notice it.

I know that vertigo. I used to get that when we lived in FL, sometimes lasting for a couple of days. Horrible.

This would be tolerable, if only I felt like I could function. I had to speak very slowly and quietly over at the school, which is totally not me. (Sitting here typing isn't that bad, which I guess is why I keep going on.)

Okay, enough. Off to lay down.

:( Here's hoping the Tylenol and rest work! When I have these migraine effects, they don't usually last more than four to six hours. I once lost peripheral vision for half a day or so. That was kind of freaky!

Thanks. I am somewhat improved. Here's hoping for good things in the next few hours. Maggie comes home from preschool soon, she's always so eager to do things and I just hate being incapacitated for her. :(

Oh man. I know that feeling. I can remember when DD1 was about 4 months and I had a migraine attack (no headache, but I felt disoriented; couldn't drive, etc) and I could barely move. I just felt so awful and she was all happy and gurgly and it made me feel even worse:(

I'm glad that you had some improvement though! Here's hoping you can find some way to make it through the afternoon.

Don't take this wrong, but it's kind of nice to know someone else who has been through this. Not that I wish suffering on anyone, but it just makes me feel less weird and lame. Thanks!

Now if only you could come entertain my daughter this afternoon! :)

Believe me, I know all about that feeling. It's very helpful to know you're not all alone in that little trench. I'm glad that I can help in that way.

We would have loved to have had Maggie over; alas, the three thousand miles is a little insurmountable;)

We really have to get our spring travel planned. Eric's pushing for NYC, I'm pushing for DC. It's not out of the question for us to do both, we'll see.

Oooh, well. Do let us know if DC happens:) We are not in DC, but easily accessible as we are close to a metro stop.

There is such a thing. And you should definitely lie down and sleep it off if possible.

Thanks, Kelly. Weird attempts to sleep, I did rest, but every time I drifted into something dream-like I snapped right awake. I'm mostly telling you this to record it for my own information. :)

I'm feeling about 50% better now, so that's good. Better enough to be a little angry about missed productivity.

When one has a brain cloud, productivity is nearly impossible.

Also, I am in love with your icon.

Ooh, thanks! I love Jiji, too. :)

Started feeling almost normal about 3:00 today. Now I'm tired (so I'm keeping the same Jiji icon). Sleep time!
