Are all kids drawn to dogshit like flies, or just mine?

Tried out the new roller skates this afternoon.  Maggie found dogshit to roll through, of course.  Then she rolled over my foot.  The skate wheels can be cleaned, the top of my sneakers not so much.  Bye, sneakers.

Maybe your child gets out more than the average and just has a higher chance of actually encountering it?

What are you sneakers made of? I think many can be washed pretty succesfully. Sorry to hear about the tennies though:(

Well, kids around here don't get out much, so "more than average" is probably true, but she actually sought it out, finding some doo off the sidewalk and heading for it before I steered her right. The one she actually got into snuck up on me, and I don't know whether she saw it before she got into it or not.

I just wish people would clean up after their durn animals.

If the weather were better I'd hose off the shoes and hope for the best, but if I do that now they'll never get dry anyway. I suppose it's an excuse to go shopping, but I'd really rather not. :(

let it dry out a bit, brush it off with a broom or on the grass, and then wipe off what's left with cleaner-of-choice and paper towels.

And a shot of Lysol spray for good measure. Thanks! These shoes ought to have another 4-6 months in them, I'd like to get it.
