It begins!

We're planning lots of work on the house this year. New kitchen and bathroom counters, new stove, new flooring. We bought the new stove today, scheduled the installation, and then on the way home I realized that it makes sense to do the counters first or we will have to re-do part of the stove installation (that we are paying extra for) when the new counters go in. So now I have to call the appliance store to try to reschedule the stove installation. Not the end of the world, but a little annoying.

We're very excited about the stove, though. I'll have a gas cooktop again for the first time in 5 years! It's also quite pretty. I just realized I've never figured out how to post pictures on LJ, so I'll just post a link. And ignore the MSRP, we didn't pay that much!

That's a nice looking stove! We were appliance shopping today too but looking at dishwashers mainly. It's fun to look at all the new fangled washing machines and stovetops, etc.

Dishwashers are great fun. We bought ours 5 years ago and I love it. Appliances are fun. This is how I know I'm now grown up -- I can talk appliances for 45 minutes with my friends, easily. How sad. :-)

I know what you mean about being a grownup. I actually wished for (and received) a Dustbuster vacuum cleaner for Christmas. Boy do I love that Dustbuster. :)
