We've had about 30 different kinds of snowfall this morning, ranging from hail-like ice pellets to chicken-feather-sized chunks. Until about 20 minutes ago none of it was sticking. Now it's snowing those big, fluffy, romantic flakes that you see in the movies -- in fact, a few minutes ago I watched out the window as it snowed the kind of snow you see in a movie when the prop department isn't all that good at what they do and you can't help but know it's being thrown by a machine 3 feet off camera. Except it was real.
And now it's sticking. Which means my plans to get out of the house this morning and go, well, anywhere else, are ill-advised since getting back in time to get Maggie from daycare could be challenging if not downright hazardous.
I've been in this house for going on five weeks now. I'm getting mean.
