Pressure pressure pressure. One of the reasons I'm posting next-to-nothing these days is that the computer is now in my office which is such a godawful mess that even Dubya might be okay with declaring it a disaster. Usually as soon as I sit down in here, I want to get out of here. Which makes it very difficult to compose a book review (great news -- I read TWOOOO!!!! books this month! It's a New Year's miracle!) or a sonnet or a manifesto or anything else. Even now I'm fighting the urge to abandon ship, so I'll hold off on my book reviews for now, just say "hello, everyone, I'm still reading your posts, even if I'm not inclined to sit still long enough to write anything of my own." I also ask you to send good cleaning-and-organizing vibes my way, if you believe in such a thing, as this month I long to get this mess reined in somewhat so that I can use my computer without being crushed to death by my own detritus.

Also, I think a new laptop may be coming my way later this year, meaning an opportunity to sit in one of Portland's amazing bookstores or coffee shops while writing what will without a doubt be great things.
