Finally, I think I'm feeling better. Unless I'm jinxing it by telling everyone about it here. Which I'm just doing because my husband said "you know, all you've done in your LJ lately is complain about your health." So I wanted to un-complain now, because I'm feeling better. And I thought you might like to know.

So.

Cross your fingers, and let's hope we're not gonna get sick again anytime soon. Like before 2008. Or for at least 3 weeks.

Maggie's tummy is messed up from her antibiotic which she's taking for an ear infection the doctor saw. I don't know that she's feeling any better or worse, ear-wise, than she was before the amoxicillin, but I'm pretty sure she's feeling worse tummy-wise. Three more days of amoxicillin for her.

Good morning, everyone!

In a span of about 20 minutes this morning, I managed to be both a day early and a day late.

I drove downtown for my acupuncture appointment, only to discover that they made my appointment for tomorrow instead of today. "Well, suck," I thought (or something to that effect,) "but now I know I have plenty of time to get to the library to pick up the book that's only being held through today." So, I drive to the library, cruise around the parking garage until I find a fifth-floor spot, park, walk down five flights of stairs, cross the street, skirt the cursing madman in front of the stairs to the library ("hi, I'm Dave, I'll be your cursing madman for today . . ."), open my bag to return a book, drop the papers that were supposed to have gone to the acupuncturist, recover them, return my book, and go to look for my new book.

Not there.

Today is the 25th, right? Oh. Crap. (Or something to that effect.)

Hi, I'm Kristi, I'll be your cursing madwoman for today. Well, not really. But I was bummed. Luckily, there is only one other person waiting for the book, and there are 8 copies, so I should have another opportunity to pick it up soon. (I'm back on the waitlist.)

I tried to salvage it -- hey, I'm downtown! I could get coffee! Or a pastry! Or lipstick! But I just didn't care. I want to go home, I said, so I climbed the five flights of stairs to my car and headed home.

And now I'm having coffee. For practically free. :-)

And the sun is breaking through the clouds. How cliche is that? :-)
