Tired of seeing the same previous one on my page. Also, I've been feeling a desire to say a little something about how my summer reading list has gotten away from me. I don't understand it, I had big plans to pick up "The Rule of Four", "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim," by David Sedaris, and maybe something like "The Time Traveler's Wife," by Audrey Niffeneger. I don't pretend to have the most discerning literary palate. I'll confess that, yes, I really do have a lot of fun spending a couple of hours reading a Princess Diary, although there are some authors (Nicholas Sparks) I've encountered and just cannot abide. But, one day last week I stood in my home and looked around me and realized that, somehow when I wasn't looking, my summer reading list created itself. It was a disorienting feeling, a "we're not in Kansas anymore" kind of experience, to discover that, instead of reading "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," I would be spending the next few weeks (and, possibly, months) digesting the following titles:

If a stack of books is all it takes to be prepared for pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and parenthood, then I think we're covered. Why do I suppose it's not quite that easy, though?
