An observation
Apr. 3rd, 2003 12:59 pmOur local Target store recently spent about 8 weeks remodeling. Mostly, this means that for two months they moved some things out of the store during the weekdays so that I couldn't find what I wanted. As the remodel became complete, things moved to new places in the store, so that now the toilet paper is by the laundry detergent instead of the soap and toothpaste. Etcetera.
They've also added a pharmacy, which I have yet to see open, and expanded their food offerings -- grocery store items like cookies, cereal, and bottled water.
Here is the observation. I have been in the new expanded food section twice in the past 10 days or so, and both times that section has smelled like urine. The first time I thought maybe a baby had had an accident there and it just needed to be cleaned up. Today I was there again, and it was even stronger. This does not make me want to buy food at Target. Quite the opposite, in fact. Someone needs to do something.
