More fun with insomnia

Well, after-Christmas seems to have heralded the return of sinus-related insomnia.  I've got a mild head cold right now, thus being awakened at 3am by the 4-year-old can potentially mean the end of restful sleep for the rest of the night.  Sad to say I've been awake for 5-1/2 hours now, and vertical for 2-1/2 hours, but functioning is at a sub-optimal level.  In another hour or two people will be expecting things of me and I'll just want to nap.

I say NAP! Naps are good. Even 20 minutes will help your brain hit the re-start button.

Yep. Just have to get someone else up to entertain the preschooler or any attempt will be for naught.

Do you use a neti pot? I swear it saved my life (well, ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit here) when I had a sinus infection a few years ago. Sorry to hear that sinus issues are affecting your sleep.

I'm skeered of the neti pot. I've been advised to try it in the shower, which I'll probably do.

I'm still up -- a cup of black tea and some slush-shoveling woke me up, for now. Now it's time to finally do the Christmas morning thing with my parents, who arrived in town about midnight. Then maybe I'll crash after lunch.
