I don't think there's an icon for this

Some kids have imaginary friends.  Today my kid devised an imaginary sister.  This was cute for about two hours, until "they" had to get ready for bed and I had to figure out how to put a nightgown on a 6-year-old who isn't there.  And then we (I) had to carry the nightgown to the bathroom and put it on the potty, prepare a toothbrush (good thing Maggie has four of them), and ultimately make up a bed of blankets on Maggie's floor and tuck the nightgown into it.

We'll see what the morning brings.

A night as a twin mom :)

Not exactly, the sister is reportedly two years older. :)

Morning has brought a name change from "Ella" to "Megan."

Maggie's enjoying the picture of your kids! She said "perfect colors for a boy and a girl!"

Wow, so Aidan's not the only one! He has an imaginary sister, Anena, but luckily she lives in California so we don't have to deal with feeding her, etc. :-)

That's funny! With whom does she live in California?

Wow! I didn't know imaginary friends/siblings got clothes, etc.

Also, we watched Kiki's Delivery Service this weekend. Very cute! Thanks for the rec :).

I was too slow on the uptake to suggest imaginary clothes. Maggie even told me this morning that "Ella was naked at the restaurant last night, because we forgot to put clothes on her!"

Luckily, Ella didn't have to go to preschool this morning. She's "staying home playing with the cat." Hee!

Nice!

There weren't hollers of "She's Kicking Me! She won't stop singing!" after tuck-in, were there?

No, but there was some "yes you are!", "No I'm not!" bickering in the afternoon yesterday. I'm sure Ella/Megan will be a convenient excuse for getting out of bed one of these evenings.
