Riot grrl in the making

Yesterday Eric took M to the schoolyard to play.  As she climbed the structure to slide down the twisty slide, a group of 8-year-old girls stampeded the place like a sudden Santa Ana gust in August, stopping just short of tumbling her down.  After the storm had passed, Eric said "whoa M, ya gotta watch out, those girls are dangerous."

"But Daddy," she said quite seriously, "I'm dangerous too."

Two parents of a 3-1/2 year old could not be prouder.
