Everybody loves to feel wanted
Oct. 25th, 2006 12:50 pmAww! I just got my first nudge. You're a peach,
lucyshoe.
My Mom was visiting for about a week, she left yesterday. Eric and I abandoned her and Maggie Sunday night so that we could finally go out for my birthday dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. It was wonderful, and we spent way too much money.
Surprisingly, I don't have a lot of amusing/annoying anecdotes from my mother's visit to share. We were both reasonably well-behaved. I think she was bored, though I couldn't get her to admit to it.
On a different note, I discovered at Target yesterday that all of the kids' Halloween costumes in Maggie's size are sold out. I nearly lost all my hair, stressing about the likelihood of spending my entire week hunting down or, God forbid, constructing, a Halloween costume for my toddler. Luckily, Mom's favorite store Kohl's came to the rescue. They still had a few 2Ts left. I bought two of them, because last year we went through one costume at daycare and another (sorry, no online photo for some reason) for actual trick-or-treats. So, she will be Pooh Bear and, if necessary, a Backyardigan, the pink one. Ten bucks a piece. Awesome.
