Hey, the cat had some agency here too. And they have a habit of being found.

I feel so responsible because she's an indoor cat. I left the front door open for a few minutes! I'm a horrible person! Neglect! Neglect!

But, as you suggested, she's back, and she's purring, and if I could I would be purring, too.
